Popular Nerd is a creative team of individuals with personal experience in living with or caring for a loved one with a developmental disability.
We are passionate about people gaining access to current supports and services available and finding cultural supports you or your loved one may need.
MEET
The Founder
Samantha Moore is the founder of Popular Nerd Consulting, a disability consulting practice committed to helping families feel included, informed, and empowered as they navigate complex service systems. Her advocacy journey began long before she ever imagined building a business. Raised by a single mother in social work, Samantha grew up with an early awareness of the inequities individuals with disabilities and their families have long faced.
From the Midwest to the West Coast, she has witnessed firsthand how easily families can be left out of critical conversations, especially when they lack access to clear information, meaningful support, and systems that truly listen.
That experience became deeply personal as she began advocating for her own neurodivergent son from infancy, often recognizing his needs and strengths long before others were willing to acknowledge them.
Through PNC Consult, Samantha works to make sure families do not feel overlooked, dismissed, or forced to navigate disability services alone.
Her mission is to help families understand their rights, access the support they deserve, and move forward with confidence.
